Objective

Move your Chariot (⚜) to the opposite back rank to win.

Movement

Move one piece per turn, one square in any direction (including diagonals). You cannot skip your turn.

Hopping

After a piece moves, all adjacent pieces hop to the opposite side. Exceptions: (1) destination must be empty; (2) a piece won't hop if an allied piece is "anchored" behind it along the hop axis; (3) stunned chariots don't hop.

Capturing

After hops resolve, any piece surrounded by enemies on both sides along the same axis is removed. Hops happen before captures — pieces may hop into or out of danger.

Chariots

Cannot be captured — if surrounded, they become Stunned (shown faded). Stunned chariots cannot move and do not hop or count for captures. They unstun when no longer surrounded.

Illegal Moves

You cannot move a piece into a square where it would be immediately captured or stunned.
